Swanton Township Refuse Service
Swanton Township is pleased to inform you that Select Sanitation, Swanton area owned and operated, will be the Township’s new refuse service provider.

Swanton Township added refuse service in 2010 without adding any new taxes or fees, this continues to put stress on the Township’s budget. With that in mind, we have worked hard on negotiating this service without again increasing taxes to the residents or putting a levy on the ballot. We are proud to be offering refuse service without a levy or tax assessment, as other townships and municipalities do.

Select Sanitation can be contacted at 419-533-2372 or website. https://www.selectsanitationservice.com/index.php)

Swanton Township is the jewel of Western Lucas County, Ohio. The township is mostly rural in nature, where we enjoy the quiet serenity of country living. Although our residents value their privacy, we are far from isolated. Access is fast and easy to the Ohio Turnpike and other Interstate Highways and major arteries, along with the Toledo Express Airport, which has its terminal within our township boundaries. You can get "there" from "here" !

Our township is host to a unique natural area - the Oak Openings Preserve Metropark. Here you will find prickly-pear cactus, wild lupine and sand cherry blooming atop dry, hot sand dunes just yards away from orchids growing in low, wet swales. Such contrasts are what make the Oak Openings Region the subject of endless fascination for professional naturalists and regular folks alike. More than 50 miles of trails and fire lanes in the preserve make it easy to explore the variety of habitats that make up the Oak Openings Region, which The Nature Conservancy lists among the 200 “Last Great Places on Earth.”
